We recommend booking your wedding photographer in Gauteng at least 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season between September and April. If your date is sooner, still reach out — we sometimes have last-minute availability.

You can expect between 800 and 1000 fully edited images, depending on your package and the length of coverage.
Final edited photos are delivered within 4–8 weeks after your wedding, depending on the season.
You’ll receive a USB package, mailed to you, which will include all your digital photos.
Yes, all your final images are professionally edited in Smook Photography’s signature timeless style.
We include colour correction, light retouching and cropping.
We do not deliver unedited or RAW files, as editing is an essential part of our creative process.
Slight changes from black-and-white to colour for example can be requested. We do not change outfits, remove or add people to groups shots etc.
To secure your date, we require a non-refundable 50% booking fee.
The remaining balance is due 1–2 weeks before your wedding.
Payments are made via EFT.
Once payment and your signed photography contract are received, your booking is confirmed.

We always plan for weather changes and are equipped to shoot in any conditions.
Rainy wedding days often result in beautiful, romantic photos, and we’ll work with your coordinator to adjust the timeline if needed.
Yes! Smook Photography travels anywhere in South Africa for weddings, elopements and destination celebrations. We LOVE a destination wedding!
Apart from photographing in Pretoria, Magaliesburg, Hartbeespoort, and the West Rand, we have shot weddings in Hoedspruit, Durban, Harrismith. We do it all!
Travel and accommodation fees apply depending on your location.
Absolutely. We design custom fine art wedding albums, leather bound albums or coffee books.
All printing is done by professional labs in South Africa to ensure top quality.
Albums and prints can be added to any package or ordered after your wedding.
No need! We automatically include an engagement shoot to our packages and highly recommend booking a pre-wedding or engagement shoot.
It’s a relaxed way to get comfortable in front of the camera, for us to get to know each other before the wedding day and to pre-determine DO and DON'T poses.
Engagement shoots are available anywhere in Johannesburg, Pretoria, or surrounding areas.
Coverage time depends on your package.
Most couples book full coverage in which case the hours are not capped. We'll stay until the last formality and ensure we get some party shots after 😉

Yes! We love micro weddings and elopements — especially those with under 30 guests.
Whether you’re planning something intimate in Johannesburg or a destination elopement in Magaliesburg, we’ll capture your day beautifully.
You receive full personal usage rights, which means you can print, post, and share your photos freely.
If vendors or magazines wish to use your images for publication or marketing, please let us know — we’re happy to arrange permissions.
